Fall is coming!
After several days of 90*F, Fall has come. The pups enjoyed it. I couldn't help but capture this snap of them, each on their own walking stone and impatiently waiting for me to reward them with cheerios. Cheerios are my girls kryptonite!

Winner, winner chicken dinner
Thanks to Stephanie Hackney of PaperCrafter'sCorner and Layle of Simple Stories for picking me for the "Say Cheese" collection line.
As you all know, I am a huge Disney addict and though I already have a copy. I've almost used it all! So now I get to play again. Yay! Thanks Simple Stories and Stephanie :) I cannot wait!

Copic cards
Testing my photography skills. I wanted to include a couple of cards I have made and adore.
Orange-ya happy? Beautiful card for any occasion including sympathy. I will post Copic colors later.
This was another creation that I could not immediately decide if I even liked. Too much purple? Too much green? But in the end and with a bow on top, it ended up being one of my favorite. I also added a bit of glitz and yellow pearls.
Peach, yellow and gray bridal card for a friend whose wedding were these colors. At first, I wasn't really feeling the gray with the peach and yellow. Now I feel she was pure genius. She has now made me think of a new world of colors that I would never put together but look so good together.

The pups are busy...
Catching up on their beauty rest. Paisley in her bed and Izzie on some random towel, she whined to have. Aren't they cute?
Sorry the coloring seems off in this picture. One of my favorite wedding pics - the bridesmaids and my hubby. I also went crazy with the metallic threading. It is amazing! This layout is all glitz and glam in person. Sadly the picture does not do this layout justice.
I love this layout. It turned out beautiful. I used a little bit of this and a little bit of that. If you look closely and I am still working on my photography skills but you will see a glisten. I used angel dust over the whole layout for a pop and Copic lipstick spica for the heart and arrows/Copic butterbut spica for the "stop".

Scrapbook event and lots of laughter
After months of emailing and coordinating, it happened. The first "Caterpillar Creative Crop" held at a local scrapbook store. 4 women attended and honestly to me, it was as success. This is the first event and few women were on vacation post holiday. I was happy that many came and yes it may seem small but the interest is growing. I was excited for a day of mingling and creating with coworkers.
As most of you know, I love Disney to the moon and back. I also go married there. So my wedding album has began. (Can I get a hell ya!? Woot! Woot!) So far so good. I had a restless night of little to barely any sleep, so my creative mojo wasn't on high flow but with a few cups of vanilla bean coffee, I was able to get a couple of adorable layouts. I mostly socialized.
*Disclaimer: I will post the rest of the layout. It is currently being reviewed for a contest.

Sunday Funday - Hiking Layout
So much for having a relaxing weekend. Our friends came over to have brunch with their young boys and played with the suddenly tired Izzie. Josh made blueberry or chocolate chip Mickey pancakes, I made biscuits with sausage gravy and easy muffin tin eggs. In my opinion, it was quite the spread. In between playing host and good housewife (doing laundry), I snuck in a layout. I feel in love with the WRMK Camping line, "Happy Campers" and since we love to hike, I purchased the 6x6 pad and made this layout.
Layout of us hiking (dog included) the Illinois River Trail
Paper lines used: WRMK Happy Campers, Basic Grey Retro, Simple Stories Yearography
Embellies: Maya Road baker's twine, Basic Grey "Retro", Cocoa Daisy "Cardboard & Co", Dreamer's sequins "Forest", Thicker's chipboard alphas

Say "Hurray" for Simple Storie's "Say Cheese" Winter 2013 Line
I am impatiently waiting for the "Say Cheese" line from Simple Stories
to fill the aisles of my LSS and even online. I almost did the
pre-order but after reading the terrible reviews, I became a chicken and
decided to wait. I am most excited because I have sat on all these
beautiful pictures of our Disney wedding with no idea what I was going
to do - classy with Anna Griffin or fun with something Disneyish. It was
this line that made me think, "yes, fun!" So maybe it will look
terrible or maybe it will just be absolutely amazing (I'm hoping for
this one) but I am going to do Simple Stories. Afterall, I think they
have became my favorite scrapbook company. All of there products have
been such a hit.
So cheers to Simple Stories for helping me find my creative path to my Disney wedding album. It makes complete sense, right?

Cheers for Mickey ears (chipboard album)
Project: Chipboard Mickey ears album
One of my favorite projects of all time was this cute (and fun) chipboard album. I used various sizes of chipboard circles and lots of thick glitter paper to create the illusion of Mickey and Minnie (with bows of course). I added a few embellishments including a mickey straw. This album was of our FIRST Disney trip together to celebrate our engagement. Ok, not to brag but isn't this absolutely adorable?
My husband helped cut all the circles which was quite time consuming but besides that this album was fun and easy.
